Disclaimer About Colors
I have finally concluded that it's impossible to calibrate the colors on my laptop correctly. Which means anything I draw digitally won't look right :( I've realized that my laptop simply doesn't have a lot of color "depth", so what looks like a dim red to me is actually a vivid red! You might've noticed the crazy saturation recently. Besides buying a whole new laptop, I'm not sure what I can do about this, but I'll look into it...
2026 New Year's Writeup
Usually for the new year I write a little summary of what I've accomplished this year and reiterate the reason why I made this site and my gripes about being a hobby artist. Hard to believe that the first new year's I celebrated on this site was 4 years ago!!! Usually I get to list a bunch of projects/pieces I've finished and I get to use that as a backup for my argument that you don't have to draw every day to improve your art skills.
This year is a little different unfortunately. Read more...
January 2026

Here are a couple quick & fun drawings I've made with pen recently. It felt very cathartic to just mindlessly draw again without worrying about how it looks. If you read my New Year's writing you'd probably understand why, haha.
January 2026
This is an embroidery project that is a (late) Christmas present to my boyfriend of his cat :3 idk why but I really struggled with this to actually make the edges look how I intended them to! Luckily he's very sweet and doesn't mind, haha. I think I'm going to do her white stomach with felt + embroidery because I don't actually have enough white thread to fill it in. And then at certain points around the outside I'm going to put some colorful beads!
August 2025

This is a WIP sketch I've done of what I want to paint on these pants. You can see that the flowers on the front are already painted on-- but I didn't have any plan when I painted them and it was bothering me. So I finally decided to start making a plan!
I've been thinking about what sort of symbols and motifs I'd want to use if I was to have a clothing brand (not that I have any ambition to make that happen), and I know that luck is a big theme for me. So I wanted to use symbols of good and bad luck, which is how I've ended up with an oarfish on the front and lucky cats on the back. There's still a lot of elements I want to add, though, I just have to figure out what would look best.

This guy is Strollin Stu from Super Mario Sunshine. He's awesome but I'm yet to actually print him.
July 2025

I've taken up crochet over this summer! It's been a good way to fill up time now that I've deleted Instagram haha. The frog was my first project and is a kit from Crochetta, and the jellyfish was a free pattern I found.
May 2025

These are two random things-- on the left I have an obsession with horses and I wanted to practice drawing a person again. On the right I have an obsession with fish. I'm still just figuring out how to actually use clip studio paint and my drawing tablet to do what I want. Definitely getting closer!

Heeeeeere is more art from my video game :3 I've redone quite a bit of stuff because I wasn't actually getting what was in my head out into the world. This is getting closer! Above is a redo of the park area, a specific closeup of the statue, and a go at Midi's dialogue sprite. Below is my redo of the apartment and some sample furniture in it.
November 2024

Above is: 1. my freshman seminar notebook cover 2. an oc inspired by the movie Hackers 3. a tattoo design I may one day get and 4. an osprey design

These are for yet another video game I'm making (called MewlWare)! The left is an example of how you can customize the little cat character with different clothes, and the right is several sprites for a specific character named Midi. Below is a background from the game.
